Baby On Board

So im driving home today from work driving on the freeway minding my own business. When i look up at the rear view mirror.

I see this car coming at me at full speed and im thinking ok should i stay in this lane and piss him off because he has to slow down?

No i decide im gonna move out the way not because im scared of idiots with road rage, but because i figured whats the point, if he is driving that fast he must be in a hurry (i know i have been in similar situations).

So as he zooms past me i look over at him and he has like a blank look on his face like hes a zombie? so i laugh not because he looks like a zombie but because he has a Baby On Board sticker on his car.

So are those stickers not to warn other driver that you have " A Baby On Board" so you can be careful around them. So as he zooms by i see the car in front of him does not move out the way and the guy swerves out the lane to get over him almost hitting a car.

So whats the point of the sticker if your not going to be careful yourself?
Or maybe like i said he had an emergency and really needed to get somewhere, guess i will never know.

My Grass Is Dead

So every this past winter we had quite a bit of rain here in SoCal. With the rain comes free watering of the lawn.

By Spring our grass is nice and green, and i always tell my wife "Honey im going to water everyday to make sure the grass stays nice for the Summer".

Easier said then done just like keeping my old car clean the whole process gets old and i stop. So here we are the middle of Summer and guess what my grass is dead. Its so dry it hurts to walk on it.

But guess what the part where i place the hose while im washing my new car is starting to look good. Maybe there is more than one benefit to keeping my car clean it might revive my grass as well.

My wife says im cheating on her.

So about a month or so ago i got a new car. I got a Kia Soul "The Hamster Car". I love it i traded in my other car that i had for about six years. That car was my first "new" car. At first like always you try to keep it clean and scratch free because its new.

After a couple of months you just say blah its to hard to keep it clean

But this car is different, maybe because i actually got the car that i wanted. My wife says i love the car more than i love her.

She thinks because i wake up at 6:30 AM every Saturday for the past weekends to wash it. She says its Deja Vu from when i got my very first car.

My first car was a 93 Honda Civic SI. It was not completely fixed up but it did have a few modifications. Man i miss that car. I tried to keep that car immaculate as well.

My wife thinks im cheating on her with my new car. She thinks because i do not want to use "rags" ti wash it, I bought microfiber towels to dry it off "have to keep the swirl marks away". What can i say its an investment and you have to keep it looking nice. Maybe in 16 years i can pass it down to my little man.

Honey if your reading this you know i love you lots. The car wont replace you it will just keep me company when im sitting in traffic.

A Fishy Scare

So yesterday was my weekly cleaning of my daughters fish tank.

This time she was here when i was going to do it. the reason why i do it when shes asleep or not home is because she always asks to help.

Im thankful that she volunteers to help since she did promise to help if we got her the fish. But we all know it is much easier to do it ourselves.

So my routine is i always place the fishes in a ziplock bag while i change the water and clean the bowl.

Then i zip the bag to just enough where the water will come out and not the fish (risky i know).

So yesterday it happened the fish came out the bag and down the drain. My daughter went into shock she started screaming and running around a house. I went into panick mode.

So i grab an old rug thats under the sink and place it under the pipes to see and hope the fish is still there he is still in the drain. So i rush to get a bag and place it under the pipes and run the water.

Poof there went the fish swimming into the bag. What a relief he was still alive. Now to make up for the scare (and to cover my butt just in case). My daughter added one more fish to her new fish tank. I cant promise this wont happen again since now they are three fishes to clean. Oh yes and now rocks too i have to worry about going down the drain.

Back To Work

So tomorrow is my first day back to work after being off for almost three weeks for the birth of Tai. I guess a lot of people would call it "vacation" but with a new born and a six year old is not even close to being a vacation. But i cant complain because if it wasn't for that "vacation" i would have never gotten the chance to spend the first couple of weeks of my sons life with him and the rest of my family. So i guess i should not complain about it because not that many people can say that they had the same opportunity that i had so i guess i can consider myself lucky. Going back will be tough i will have to get used to not spending all day with them i guess i will just miss them that much more. But hey i get to rock out in my new other new baby that i got this weekend, yes i got a new car and i will be loving listening to all my music in the new loud stereo. Well i better get going now since i have to go to bed soon to be fresh in the morning. Daily grind here i come once again i hope you have missed me the way i will miss my family.

Rocking Dad

So this is my intro to the blogging world. My wife has been blogging for a while and i thought hey i should give it a try. I know they are a whole lot of mommy blogs out there so i figured i should help in adding one more to the daddy bloggers out there. So if any of you have read my wifes blog posts you should know how she cracks you up with our life stories. Now you shall hear my side of her stories. So i am a father of 2 my six year old Princess named Emma and my new Little Monkey Tai who is 2 weeks old now. I guess me and my wife are part of what they call "The New Generation" of parents. We listen to rock and we like all the tattoos we have so i guess you can call us the edgy parents. So a little intro into our world, me and my beautiful wife have been together for twelve wonderful years. i would not be a rocking dad if she would have never given me my two beautiful angels. So i guess thats all i have for now as an intro i know im forgetting some things but you will get it as you keep writing about our many adventures. And remember if you want to hear my wifes versions of our stories her link is on this page so dont forget to follow her as well. Thanks.....
